David Berlinski Psychology
Welcome.
My name is David and I endeavour to be a warm and caring psychologist who will work collaboratively with you to create a safe and trusting relationship where your challenges will be explored with sensitivity and honesty.
My therapeutic style is compassionate and non-judgmental, with the aim of helping you to connect with your emotions to better develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
I believe that while pain is inevitable in life, suffering does not need to be. Through our work together I am hopeful that the experience of deeply connecting with your emotions in a safe environment will empower and embolden you to live a life of greater clarity and confidence.
I have a range of experience working with people who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, LGBTQIA+ related concerns, work-related stress, parenting challenges as well as difficulties with self-esteem and assertiveness.
I hold a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Melbourne and I incorporate a psychodynamic approach to therapy while also drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness.
What to expect
After booking an appointment, I will send you documents to complete online, including consent and intake forms. The first question I will ask you is "What emotional problem can I help you with?"
From here, our sessions will involve working together to develop a shared understanding of what difficulties brought you to therapy and clarifying goals for what you'd like to change in your life.
I will then work with you to bring about change and support you to reach your goals through therapeutic techniques that suit your needs.
I currently work as a psychologist in Murrumbeena 3163, Victoria and I am currently accepting new clients.
Appointments are available on Thursday & Fridays.
If you have any questions, or want to request an appointment, you can reach me by email or phone.
